35th Job Fair for College Graduates to be held

The 35th Job Fair for College Graduates will be held on February 22 and 23. Then how will this fair be different from the previous sessions?

Different from the previous sessions, this fair will be conducted in a “specialized and refined” manner. The venue be moved to the Human Resources Building, and two job fairs will be held under different themes, namely the “Spring Breeze Action” special session on Thursday and the “Famous 361 Industrial Cluster Enterprises” docking and negotiation meeting on Friday.

“Based on past experience, we have found that themed job fairs can bring together a large number of enterprises and job seekers with similar needs, making job recruitment more targeted.” said a related person in charge from Ningbo Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. This year’s job fair will also add a recruitment zone specifically for retired soldiers and human resources overseas service for enterprises.

As for the scale of the fair, it has been learned that 600 enterprises will attend this year’s fair, including not only such well-known domestic enterprises as Fotile Kitchenware, Deli Group, and Youngor Group, but also such financial institutions as Ningbo Bank and China Merchants Bank, as well as state-owned enterprises like Transportation Investment Group and Ningbo Municipal Engineering Construction Group.

The participating enterprises have strong capabilities and naturally have extraordinary salary levels. It is reported that this year’s graduation fair has gathered over 20,000 job demands, with most positions receiving annual salaries ranging from 120,000 to 180,000 yuan. Some enterprises are also more generous in their efforts to recruit talents. For example, Ningbo Purui Junsheng Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd. offers an annual salary of 400,000 to 500,000 yuan to recruit talents suitable for the position of “doctoral researcher”.

What kind of talents are needed for so many high-quality positions? Are the employment requirements very high? It is understood that this fair will be closely related to Ningbo as a major city in foreign trade and a champion city in the manufacturing industry. According to the statistics of the Human Resources and Social Security Department, the top five positions in terms of employment demand include trade, procurement & logistics, machinery, manufacturing & automobile, sales, customer service & commerce, chemical industry, medicine & energy, IT, Internet, communications, electronics & e-commerce.

In terms of job requirements, most of the positions at this year’s graduation fair require job seekers to have a college or undergraduate degree, accounting for over 90%. Some positions even require applicants to have a master’s degree or above.
