International Exchange and Cooperation in Education

Exchanges and cooperation with the world. Ningbo is the first pilot zone for international education cooperation and exchange. The city established University of Nottinghan, Ningbo China which is the first Chinese-foreign joint university. The first supply chain innovation college in China, and the only vocational education foreign aid training base assigned by the Ministry of Commerce were built. It is also among the first batch of cities that run schools overseas: Ningbo has set up 7 overseas educational institutions such as Sino-African Vocational Training Institute(Benin), China-Sri Lanka Silk Road institute and Hanburg Campus of Zhejiang Wanli University. There are 44 Chinese-foreign joint educational institutions and programs in Ningbo. It collabrates with the Ministry of Education to promote the“Belt and Road”Initiative in educational field, and established 7 integrated educational cooperation platforms with Central and Eastern Europe Countries, the United Kingdom etc, and built up exchange and cooperation relationship with over 1200 foreign universities and schools. Now there are 3324 international students in higher education institutions and 1049 foreign experts and teachers in all educational institutions in Ningbo.
