Vocational Education

The vocational education also achieved remarkable development. There are 32 independent vocational high schools (including 10 national level reform and development model schools and 8 provincial level reform and development model schools) with 68,000 students. The first employment rate of graduates reached 99% in the current year, and 90% of the graduates obtained both the graduation certificate and the skill certificate. Ningbo has 31 national and 33 provincial level practical training bases, 2 ministerial level modern apprenticeship pilot institutes and 10 provincial level modern apprenticeship pilot institutes. Among vocational high schools of the whole city,a total of 107 specialties (including 3 national level and 45 provincial level model specialties) in 16 categories have been set up, basically covering all sectors in the city’s primary, secondary and tertiary industries.
